Dear Chuck,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for introducing us to the N-School Skate Programs. What an exciting activity this has been for our department. Our students enjoyed it so much they ask to do it every quarter. Our initial try at the program we had about 80% participation from our entire department. The second time we did the program we were almost at 100% participation from all of our classes. We even have students from other classes throughout the school come and ask too how they could take part!

I would recommend that all schools try to get this program into their curriculum. It is a great fitness activity for these students for now and later in life. We will definitely continue to take part in the program. It has involved kids that hesitate to take part in some of the traditional activities. Thank you for getting us involved. We love it!

During the 2000 school year we had the opportunity to bring the N-School Skate Programs to our school. That week was the most incredible week of the entire school year. My students were so excited to be inline skating in Physical Education. N-School Skate Programs also provides an instructor the first day of the unit. This made me feel more comfortable since my skating skill is average. Lesson plans that I was given also provided the framework for the lessons taught the entire week.

One of the most rewarding experiences during this unit was students taking on the role of the "Teacher" I am one who cannot skate backwards. My students felt so proud they could teach their P.E. Teacher a new skill. This is one unit my students were still talking about on the last day of the year. They questioned me if we would be skating next year. Since this unit, many students have informed me from other classes with a different teacher, who did not participate in this unit ask me how they could be in my class next year so they could be involved in the skating program. Since this unit, many students have informed me of their purchase of inline skates. That happened to be the one gift I specifically asked my family to get me for Mother's Day. In Physical Education, our goal is to teach students to be lifelong learners. N-School Skate Programs has created an opportunity for Physical Education teachers to take their program to the next level!
